The Legacy

Fifty years in the making

Born in 1972 as the solid-state heir to a legendary tube microphone, the FET large-diaphragm condenser shaped the sound of an era. Records grew sharper. The smooth FET fell out of favor. Engineers rediscovered it: in front of kick drums, bass cabinets, guitar amplifiers.

The DB7F places the M7, the capsule of the tube era, at the heart of that FET circuit. A combination no one else makes.
